Based on knowledge gained in the classroom about the characteristics of Japanese as a foreign language and methods for teaching Japanese as a foreign language, as well as insights obtained through preparatory study, students engage in practicum activities in actual Japanese language education settings. Through this experience, students deepen their understanding of overseas learners while developing practical skills in intercultural understanding, intercultural communication, course design, and instructional material development. In addition, students experientially acquire the professional mindset required for teaching Japanese as a foreign language, including adapting teaching methods to learners’ needs, selecting appropriate materials, and responding to learners’ affective factors. Students also learn, through hands-on experience, appropriate approaches to learner assessment as required in real educational contexts.
Students can participate in a Japanese language teaching practicum conducted at overseas universities, following thorough pre-departure preparations, including risk management. During the pre-departure learning phase, students can study the state of Japanese language education overseas and the characteristics of learners. Through group work, students can explore methods for providing Japanese language support tailored to the learning objectives and proficiency levels of individual learners. Additionally, students can learn about course design, lesson planning, and the selection and development of teaching materials necessary for Japanese language education in an overseas setting.
During the practicum, students can deepen their understanding of each teaching environment by engaging in communication with local Japanese language educators and learners while conducting Japanese language teaching. Both the practicum and collaborative activities at the field site require active participation, and students are expected to take responsibility for their roles.
After the practicum, students can reflect on their experiences, sharing insights about the challenges faced in Japanese language education overseas and exploring solutions to these challenges. This reflection also connects their experiences to further learning by considering the abilities, skills, and attitudes required of Japanese language teachers in the 21st century.
Students must review the schedule for pre-departure and follow-up activities outlined in the course guide. Since the practicum schedule varies depending on the location, students should refer to the R Guide and application guidelines to confirm the necessary details and complete the registration process within the designated period.

海外の大学が実習先となるため、自己管理を含め、責任ある態度で参加することを強く求める。
１）この科目は、海外の大学で日本語を教えるという実習を含むため、事前に、「日本語学概論Ａ、Ｂ」「日本語教授法Ａ、Ｂ」を修得済みであることが必要である。
２）事前学習５（リスク管理ワークショップ）は海外フィールドスタディとの合同授業とする。8月2日（月）２限を予定している。必ず参加すること。
３）４月28日(火) 昼休みに募集説明会を行う。異文化コミュニケーション学部HP、R-Guideで確認すること。

外国語としての日本語の特徴、外国語としての日本語の教授法などについて教室で学んだ知識と、事前学習で得た知見にもとづいて、実際の日本語教育の現場で実習を行い、海外の学習者への理解を深めるとともに、異文化理解力、異文化コミュニケーション力、コースデザイン、教材開発の実践力も身に付ける。また、外国語として日本語を教える際に必要な「構え」（学習者に応じた教え方、教材選択、学習者の情意的側面への対応等）を体験的に身に付ける。現場で求められる学習者評価の在り方についても経験を通して学ぶ。

危機管理を含む十分な事前活動を行った上で、海外の大学をフィールドにした日本語教育実習を行う。
事前学習では、海外の日本語教育の状況や学習者の状況について学び、個々の学習者の学習目的やレベルに合った日本語教育支援を行う方法について演習を通して考える。また、海外の現場で行う日本語教育を行う際に必要な、コースデザイン、授業計画、教材選択や開発について学ぶ。
実習は、それぞれの現場への理解を深め、現場の日本語教育関係者、日本語学習者とコミュニケーションをとりながら、日本語教育実習を行う。現地での実習、協働活動ともに参加者の積極的な関与が必要とされるため、参加者は責任をもって取り組まなければならない。実習後は、事後活動において、自らが経験した実習での学びを振り返るとともに、そこで気づいた海外の日本語教育現場の抱える課題、それを解決するための方法などについても共有し、実習での経験をさらなる学びにつなげていく。21世紀に必要とされる日本語教師にはどのような能力やスキル、さらには態度が必要なのかについても考える。
事前活動や事後活動の日程などは、履修要項などでしっかり確認して参加すること。また、実習のスケジュールは、実習先によって異なるため、各自、R Guide、募集要項等で必要な事項を確認し、定められた期間に履修の申請手続きを行うこと。
Students can participate in a Japanese language teaching practicum conducted at overseas universities, following thorough pre-departure preparations, including risk management. During the pre-departure learning phase, students can study the state of Japanese language education overseas and the characteristics of learners. Through group work, students can explore methods for providing Japanese language support tailored to the learning objectives and proficiency levels of individual learners. Additionally, students can learn about course design, lesson planning, and the selection and development of teaching materials necessary for Japanese language education in an overseas setting.
