Students will reach an intermediate level of practical proficiency in Korean in preparation for their travel to a Korean-speaking country in the fall semester of their second year on the Overseas Study Program.
The goal of this course is to master conversational exchange in Korean to enable students to take classes conducted completely in Korean (no Japanese). Students who wish to travel abroad to a Korean-speaking country must take this course. Course materials used in South Korea will be used in this class, which meets twice per week. Students will expand their vocabularies, master new expressions and do exercises to master many conversational expressions. Students will work on listening skills as well as their ability to read aloud and comprehend the writing in course materials.

２年次秋学期の「海外留学研修」に向け，中級レベルの総合的な朝鮮語の実践的言語運用能力を養成する。

韓国で日本語を使わずに行われる授業についていくことができるよう，朝鮮語でのやり取りに習熟するための授業を行う。朝鮮語圏への留学を希望する者は必ず履修する。韓国で使われている教材を使って週２回の授業を行う。語彙を増やし，新しい表現を身につけるとともに，多くの会話表現を練習し身につける。また，聞き取りはもちろん，的確な音読の能力や，教材にある文章の読解も行う。
