【Course Objectives】

This couse aims to help students extend their understanding of the readings and discussions accomplished in Advanced Seminar 1 by reading more works on the philosophy of action, ethics, the philosophy of art, and so on. They will also be asked to decide their thesis topic and begin preparations for their thesis.

【Course Contents】

In this course we will 1) further read and discuss works on the philosophy of action, focusing on how the agent's intention, the understanding of this intention by others, choice, and responsibility are related to each other; 2) apply the theories to ethics, art, and social problems. By the end of the course, students will need to decide the topic for their thesis and begin preparations toward its writing
