【Course Objectives】

1. Explain foundational theories and key concepts in communication.

2. Apply communication theories to the analysis of media texts and practices in digital and global contexts.

3. Analyze how communication shapes meaning, identity, and power.

4. Evaluate the role of digital media and technologies in contemporary communication environments.

5. Demonstrate critical communication skills through discussion, reflection, and written media analysis.

【Course Contents】

This course introduces foundational theories and concepts in communication, with an emphasis on media in a digital and globally interconnected world. Students examine how meaning, identity, and power are produced through interpersonal, cultural, and mediated communication across diverse social contexts.
