This course is designed to help students develop communicative and academic language skills by exploring topics related to Cultural Studies. The course aims to enable students to:
1.Acquire key concepts in English.
2.Enhance critical thinking skills.
3.Learn to write cohesive and persuasive papers.
First, this course promotes students’ critical and creative thinking through reading and discussing introductory textbooks for culture studies in English. Second, students are expected to participate actively in various discussions on social issues. Third, this course will help equip students with academic writing skills.
