【Course Objectives】

This course is designed to introduce students to dynamic interactions between globalization and media across diverse spatial, temporal, sociocultural, political, and economic contexts. It encourages critical thinking by challenging stereotypical and oversimplified views of globalization and media, and broadens the scope of discussion to help students gain nuanced perspectives.

【Course Contents】

Through a combination of academic and non-academic readings, video clips, and documentaries, this course explores weekly themes about the complex relationships between globalization and media. It examines these concepts both as daily encounters and as analytical categories, offering ways to understand their interconnectedness.
