・To gain an understanding of the top-down and bottom-up approaches to peacebuilding in conflict-affected regions.
・To be able to analyze the challenges of armed conflicts and peacebuilding from the perspectives of the people living through them.
This course examines specific cases of armed conflicts and peacebuilding. It emphasizes the importance of understanding the perspectives of people and local communities experiencing armed conflicts. Through the course, students will deepen their understanding of top-down peacebuilding approaches led by the international community and others, as well as bottom-up peacebuilding approaches led by local and civil societies. The class will be conducted in a participatory manner.

・紛争影響地域に対する上からの平和構築のアプローチと下からの平和構築のアプローチについて理解できるようになる。
・武力紛争や平和構築の課題を、それを生きる人びとの視点から考察できるようになる。

本講義では、武力紛争と平和構築の事例を紹介し、具体的に考察します。考察にあたっては、武力紛争を生きる人びとや地域社会の視点を学ぶことが重要であることを学びます。これらを通じて、国際社会等が主導する上からの平和構築、地域社会や市民社会が主導する下からの平和構築のアプローチについての理解を深めます。授業は、参加型で行います。
