(3) Deepen your understanding of the finer details of actors' performances, direction, stage sets, etc. through watching videos.
(4) Learn about the state of performing arts that has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic that we faced.
The world has been hit by various disasters up until now, but how have theaters continued to operate and present productions amidst these? In particular, this program will consider the relationship between disasters and theater, focusing on the Great East Japan Earthquake and COVID-19 that Japan faced in the 21st century, and also taking into account the relationship with related past events. Genres covered include kabuki and emerging theater from the Meiji era onwards, as well as contemporary theater, commercial theater, and musicals.

講義内容に応じて関連する音声や映像を適宜視聴します。それによって授業計画を微調整する場合があります。
（1）災厄に見舞われた世界のなかで、演劇がいかに実現されてきたのかを学ぶ。
（2）絵画資料・写真資料等を通じて、芸能・演劇の実態を探る。
（3）映像観賞を通じて役者の演技、演出、舞台装置等の細かな部分に関しても理解を深める。
（4）私たちが直面した、新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響を受けた舞台芸術のありようについて学ぶ。

これまで、世界はさまざまな災厄に見舞われてきたが、そのなかで劇場はどのように興行をおこない、作品を上演してきたのか。とくに、21世紀の日本が直面した東日本大震災と新型コロナウイルス感染症を視座に据え、関連する過去の事象との関わりもふまえて、災厄と演劇の関係について考える。ジャンルとしては、歌舞伎や明治以降の新興演劇から現代演劇まで、商業演劇やミュージカルなども取り上げる。
