By the end of the course, students will gain a new awareness of their experiences and individual growth. By doing so, students will be able to explain the connection between their international/intercultural experiences and their current and future academic interests as well as career aspirations. Students will be able to identify which academic interests and future experiences will best support their future plans. Students will be able to collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds and actively engage in pressing social issues from a global perspective.
This course aims to have students reflect upon their intercultural experiences after studying overseas and/or through experiential learning via field studies. The course utilizes academic literature on studying abroad, multiculturalism (multicultural coexistence), and intercultural communication to assist students to analyze and discuss their personal experiences and realize their own change and growth.
