Students read Jane Hill's The Everyday Language of White Racism about racism in the contemporary US, deepen their academic interests. Write reports and practice academic writing techniques.

この授業では、文献講読とディスカッションを通じて現代文化人類学の研究潮流を知り、学生個人の問題関心をその中に位置付ける。その上で自身の卒業研究のテーマを考え、実際に調査を行う。
Students relate their interests to academic debates of cultural anthropology today, choose a topic and practice research.
Jane HillのThe Everyday Language of White Racismを講読しながら自身の関心を深める。一章ごとに読み進め、関連分野に関するレポートを執筆する。その中で、卒業論文の執筆を見据えたアカデミック・ライティングの方法を確認する。
