【Course Objectives】

This course aims to help students:
1. To be able to explain the current status of different fields of indomains of international cooperation
2. To be able to discuss various issues at different levels of international cooperation
3. To be able to consider for each individual how to get involved with international cooperation through participatory learning.

【Course Contents】

International cooperation supports countries and people in foreign lands to maintain the peace and stability of the international community. The international community is expected to extend additional efforts to resolve mounting global issues such as environmental destruction, the spread of infectious diseases, increasing economic inequality, and escalating regional conflicts through international cooperation.
However, there are endless examples of international assistance not having achieved its planned outcome because of the lack of understanding of the cultures and social structures of so-called developing countries. To avoid such problems in the future, this course will instruct students on approaching social issues of international import from the viewpoint of people living in developing countries, emphasizing the manner in which international cooperation must develop an understanding of different cultures.
