Notes

【Course Objectives】

This course aims to guide students through the process of selecting and refining research topics for their senior research and thesis. By the end of the course, students will have gained foundational knowledge on identifying research themes related to their interests and acquired practical skills to apply theoretical tools in completing a research project.

【Course Contents】

This course combines reading assignments, lectures, and discussions to explore key aspects of traditionality. Topics include definitions of tradition, debates on authenticity, various forms of tradition, and the relationship between tradition and identity-making processes. Students will develop research skills and share their findings through class presentations and papers.
