Students will gain the ability to narrow their search for graduation thesis themes through intensified, independent study of the fields of their choice.
In the first half of the seminar, students will read academic papers on the multiculturality of immigrant communities and consider and discuss the significance and impact of the language policy and cultural policy of the host country, and the circumstances that produce immigrant culture. In the second half, students will present and discuss specific cases of so-called “minority culture” in the regions and countries that piqued their interest in the first half of the seminar.

この科目は，教育課程「完成期」の科目である。各自が選択した領域についてさらに深く主体的に学んでいくことで，卒業研究のテーマを絞り込んでいくことができる。
Students will gain the ability to narrow their search for graduation thesis themes through intensified, independent study of the fields of their choice.
前半は，移民社会の多文化状況に関する論文を読み，ホスト社会の言語政策や文化政策がもつ意味と影響，移民の文化が生まれる状況，移住とジェンダーの問題について考察，議論する。以上をふまえて，後半は受講者が関心を持つ地域，国について，いわゆる「マイノリティーの文化」の具体例について発表し，議論をする。
