The primary goal of this course is the development of original student research papers in English in the fields of media, communication, New Media, and intercultural communication.
The instructor will present examples and models of theses, dissertations, and articles to illustrate conventions of writing and organization. The instructor will work with students both as a group and one on one to help them develop the topics of their theses.
The secondary goal of this course is practice with conventions of academic writing and research skills. The instructor will provide a guide on collecting effective sources, making accurate citations, and using research to build persuasive theses.
The main focus of the class is on the composition of an original student thesis. Course content will include sample writings, example thesis papers and articles, and short readings on the development of original academic works.
This is the first of three semesters of courses supporting students' thesis writing. This first session will focus on developing thesis proposals which will later be expanded.

このコースの主な目標は、メディア、コミュニケーション、ニューメディア、異文化コミュニケーションの分野で、英語でオリジナルの学生研究論文を作成することです。
講師は、論文、学位論文、記事の例とモデルを提示して、執筆と構成の規則を説明します。講師はグループとしても 1 対 1 の両方でも学生と協力して、学生が論文のテーマを開発できるよう支援します。

授業の主な焦点は、学生のオリジナル論文の作成です。コースの内容には、文章のサンプル、論文や記事の例、オリジナルの学術作品の開発に関する短い読み物が含まれます。
