The aim of this course is to help students to understand the concepts of the general provisions of Civil Code and the law of real rights
This course deals with the concepts and principles of the general provisions of Civil Code and so-called Property Law (Article 175 to Article 294 in the Civil Code) , except sections involving Security Property Law.
The general provisions of Civil Code is the basis of not only Civil code but also other laws. Real rights are the power of control to real estate and movable. The law of real rights are thus fundamental rules about important property for our society.
I will try to have you understand the concepts of these fields which are starting points of law study.

民法総則・物権法の考え方を理解することを目標とします。
The aim of this course is to help students to understand the concepts of the general provisions of Civil Code and the law of real rights
民法総則および物権法（担保物権を除く）について専門的な講義を行います。民法総則は，民法の他の分野はもちろん，民法以外の実定法を理解するうえで基礎となる考え方を含む，重要な分野です。物権法は、物を優先的に支配する権利の変動や帰属に関するルールであり、我々の社会にとって重要な財産である不動産や動産についての基本的ルールです。今後の法学の勉強の出発点ともなるこれらの分野の考え方を十分理解してもらえるように努めます。
