The course objectives are (a) to acquire basic knowledge of the law of property rights in the Civil Code, and (b) to develop the ability to apply that knowledge to specific legal problems and derive reasonable solutions.
We will cover chapters 1-6 (general provisions, right of possession, ownership, superficies, servitudes, etc.) of Part 2 "Property Rights" of the Civil Code.
The content of the class will follow (a) and (b) listed in "Course Objectives". As for (a), basic knowledge will be provided while organically relating it to other areas of civil law and actual examples from the real world, so that the foundation for (b) can be built. As for (b), through detailed analysis and examination of precedents and theories on important issues, the process of persuasively deriving appropriate solutions (establishment of interpretive theories, application to the relevant cases, etc.) will be concretely demonstrated.

民法の物権法について、（a）基本的な知識を修得すること、および、（b）具体的な法律問題において、その知識を運用して妥当な解決を導き出す能力を養うことを目標とする。
The course objectives are (a) to acquire basic knowledge of the law of property rights in the Civil Code, and (b) to develop the ability to apply that knowledge to specific legal problems and derive reasonable solutions.
民法の第2編「物権」のうち、第1章～第6章（総則・占有権・所有権・地上権・地役権等）を取り上げる。担保物権は扱わない。
授業の内容は、「授業の目標」に掲げた（a）および（b）に従う。（a）に関しては、民法の他の領域や実社会の実例等とも有機的に関連づけながら、基本的な知識を提供し、（b）のための基礎が作られるようにする。（b）に関しては、重要論点について判例・学説を詳しく分析・検討することを通じて、妥当な解決を説得的に導き出すためのプロセス（解釈論の定立や当該事案への適用など）を具体的に示す。
