To acquire a fundamental understanding of remedies and multi-party litigation under civil procedure law.
Based on the assumption that students have acquired a solid understanding of the material covered in Civil Procedure (1), this course examines, as advanced and applied topics, remedies and multi-party litigation.
The course places particular emphasis on the basic structure of these institutions and on leading judicial precedents.
Depending on the progress achieved in the previous year’s Civil Procedure (1) course, the class may begin by addressing any remaining topics from that course before proceeding to the main subject matter.

民事訴訟法上の不服申立て、多数当事者訴訟についての基本的な理解を獲得すること。
To acquire a fundamental understanding of remedies and multi-party litigation under civil procedure law.
民事訴訟法（1）で学習した内容が身についていることを前提に、その応用問題とも位置づけられる不服申立て（上訴・再審）及び多数当事者訴訟（共同訴訟、補助参加、独立当事者参加、訴訟承継）について体系的に論じる。とりわけ、制度の基本構造及び判例の内在的理解に力点を置くことになる。なお、前年度の民事訴訟法１の進度次第では、その積み残し項目を取り上げたうえで、本論に入る可能性がある。
