The fields of the Social Security Law are very wide and the contexts are very complicated. The objectives of this course is to grasp an overall picture of the Social Security System in Japan as well as to acquire the fundamental structure of the systems and juridical knowledge about conflicts.
This lecture will give a lecture on the social security system related to people's life stages. In this respect, it is not an orthodox institutional theory. Each discussion will structure the class so that students will be able to acquire a fundamental understanding of the Social Security systems while emphasizing the significance and function of the Social Security system in particular. At that time, we will also touch on related judicial decisions and arguments about systemic reforms when appropriate.

社会保障法の領域は膨大に拡充し、内容も複雑であるが、その全体像をつかむと共に、社会保障制度についての基本的な仕組みと法的紛争についての知識を得ることを目的とする。

本講義では、人のライフステージにあわせて関係すると思われる社会保障制度を講義していく。その点で制度ごとに社会保障制度を概観するオーソドックスな手法とは異なる。こうした講義を通じて社会保障法についての基本的な理解を深めるとともに、それぞれの制度の重要性や機能を確認する。それぞれの場面において関連する裁判例や制度改革の議論にも適宜触れる。
