This lecture aims to develop an understanding of 21st century issues and train systematic analysis by studying history of international politics.
By observing the international political history after World War II, students will learn about the following: the history, the structure and the end of the Cold War, as well as New Wars during the 1990s, the war on terrorism, the US-China conflict, and the Russia-Ukraine war will also be studied. Students will also acquire a three-dimensional understanding through observing the relations among countries and at the same time the domestic politics of the concerned countries.

日頃から国際情勢に積極的疑問や関心を持つこと。
授業のレジュメはCanvas LMSにアップロードして配付する。各自で印刷出力して紙媒体で活用してもよいし、コンピューターやタブレットなどを利用してデジタルにノートテイキングをしてもよい。
国際政治史は歴史の講義ではあるが、事実と年号の記憶という暗記科目ではなく、現代の国際社会のつながりを理解するための「解釈」に重点を置く。
本講義では国際政治史を通史的に学ぶことで、21世紀の問題群を理解する基礎を養い、体系的に分析できる力を身につけることを狙いとする。
This lecture aims to develop an understanding of 21st century issues and train systematic analysis by studying history of international politics.
主に第二次世界大戦以降の国際政治史を学ぶことで、冷戦史、冷戦構造、冷戦の終焉、新しい戦争、テロとの戦い、米中対立、そしてロシア・ウクライナ戦争までの一連の流れを修得する。また、国家間の関係だけではなく、各国の国内政治にも目を向けて、立体的な理解も涵養する。
