The course will explain and analyze recent news and actual examples of political and economic issues so that students can become familiar with current affairs in preparation for getting a job, going out into the world, and becoming a responsible member of society.
Each session will cover current events of the past week or two, as well as topics in business, law, and politics that you should know about. Occasional guests are invited.

就職して社会に出て行き、責任ある社会人になるための準備として時事問題に身近に接することができるように直近のニュースや政治経済問題の実例を挙げ、解説・分析していく。
The course will explain and analyze recent news and actual examples of political and economic issues so that students can become familiar with current affairs in preparation for getting a job, going out into the world, and becoming a responsible member of society.
毎回、直近1ー2週間の時事問題を解説するほか、ビジネスや法、政治に関して知っておくべきテーマを講義します。時々、ゲストを招きます。過去の授業では、直前のニュース解説としてトランプ新政権の経済政策の特徴、日産・ホンダの統合破談、石破新政権の公約などについて取り上げました。重要テーマとして、日本銀行の政策の軌跡、日経平均株価の推移とその意味、変動制移行後の円・ドル相場の推移とトレンドが変化する際のイベントの検証、戦後最大の倒産だった日本航空の破綻とその特徴、そして再生などを取り上げています。生のニュースを通じて経済と政治・社会の姿を理解できるように解説します。
