This course will provide you with an understanding of the fundamental legal and regulatory issues in the IT field, which is developing rapidly every day. In particular, the course will focus on areas related to blockchain and learn what legal and practical responses are being made or should be made when laws and regulations have not kept pace with technological advances.
This course will be based on real-world cases related to payments and blockchain to help you understand laws, regulations, and specific legal issues. You will also learn how private companies, regulators, industry associations, and legislatures in these areas are and should be working to resolve problems. This course will invite lawyers specializing in these areas or practitioners at publicly listed companies.

決済・ブロックチェーンに関する現実世界の事例をベースに、法令や規制の適用関係や、具体的な法的課題を理解できるようにする。これらの分野について、民間企業、規制当局、業界団体、立法府その他の関係者が課題解決に向けてどのように取り組んでいるか、また取り組むべきかについても、実際の事例をベースに学んでいく。必要に応じて、当該分野を専門的に取り扱っている弁護士ないし上場企業における実務家等の専門家を招いて話を聞く機会を設ける。
