This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the fundamental legal and regulatory framework governing the rapidly evolving IT sector. It will focus particularly on electronic payments and blockchain technologies, examining legal frameworks, practical considerations, and current and emerging best practices.
Drawing on practical case studies, this course will examine the application of the relevant laws and regulations, as well as the specific legal issues that arise, in connection with electronic payments and blockchain technologies. The course will also examine how private sector entities, regulatory authorities, industry associations, legislative bodies, and other stakeholders are addressing, and should address, the challenges in these areas. Where appropriate, the course will feature guest lectures, including lawyers specializing in these areas or in-house counsel from listed companies.

This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the fundamental legal and regulatory framework governing the rapidly evolving IT sector. It will focus particularly on electronic payments and blockchain technologies, examining legal frameworks, practical considerations, and current and emerging best practices.
実務上の事例をベースに、法令及び規制の適用関係や、具体的な法的課題について取り扱う。そして、これらの分野について、民間企業、規制当局、業界団体、立法府その他の関係者が課題解決に向けてどのように取り組んでいるか、また取り組むべきかについても、実際の事例をベースに学んでいく。必要に応じて、当該分野を専門的に取り扱っている弁護士ないし上場企業における実務家等の専門家を招いて話を聞く機会を設ける。
