The objective of this course is to learn diversity in law and culture by learning the basics of Australian law, and the culture and history of Australia at the University of Western Australia.
This course is consisted of (1) the study tours at the University of Western Australia, (2) preparatory sessions prior to the study tours, and (3) submissions of research papers after the study tours.
(1) Period : Three weeks in early February 2025-the exact dates to be confirmed.
(2) In order to make the most of the study tours, a handful of preparatory sessions are arranged prior to the study tours. Preparatory sessions also include administrative guidance sessions (e.g., as for manners to pay the fees for the study tours, acquire travel insurance, and arranging the accommodation).
(3) After the study tours, students are expected to attend a review session and submit research papers. The theme of the papers will be notified during the spring semester.
For further details, an online guidance session will be held prior to the first round of the application.

3週間の西オーストラリア大学での短期研修プログラムにおいて、オーストラリアの法律、文化、歴史について学ぶことを通して、法律、文化、社会の多様性を学び、経験する。
The objective of this course is to learn diversity in law and culture by learning the basics of Australian law, and the culture and history of Australia at the University of Western Australia.
西オーストラリア大学での短期研修プログラムへの参加に向けて、事前準備講義を受けるとともに、プログラムへの参加後に、振り返り会に参加し、プログラムで学んだことに関するレポートを提出することで、本講義を修了する。
実施期間：2025年2月4日からの3週間を予定。
西オーストラリア大学での講義の他に、国会・美術館・自然公園への訪問など、フィールドトリップやアクティビティが予定される。（詳細な日程等も追って示す）
研修プログラムへの参加の前には、数回の事前準備講義が予定されている（オーストラリアへの渡航準備としての海外保険やその他の説明についても、事前準備講義に含まれる）。
研修プログラム参加後のレポートについて、課題は追って提示する。
事前のオンラインガイダンスにて、プログラムについての説明や応募方法の詳細を説明するため、ガイダンスに参加の上、応募をしていただきたい。説明会の日程変更や体調不良等のために説明会に出席できない場合は、ガイダンスの録画ビデオを閲覧の上、応募すること。応募者多数の場合は抽選により選考する。

募集条件
履修対象学生： 本学１～3年次生（2024年9月入学者は対象外）。
募集人数： 25名程度
選考方法： 本授業の履修手続ガイダンスに出席の上、応募を決定すること (ガイダンスは6月27日（木）12時40分より13時10分までオンラインにより実施)。履修を希望するものは、所定の期間内に所定の申込フォームより申し込みを行うこと。体調不良等のために説明会に出席できない場合は、ガイダンスの録画ビデオを閲覧の上、応募すること。
募集期間は下記のとおりである。
第1次募集：8月1日（木）10：00から8月6日（火）15：00まで 結果発表：8月23日（金）15時
第2次募集：9月3日（火）10：00から9月6日（金）15：00まで 結果発表：9月12日（水）15時
指定された期間に志望理由書を提出すること。詳細については説明会の際に指示する。
英語力は問わないが、現地大学でのディスカッション・プレゼンテーションも予定されているため、積極的に取り組む意欲があることを前提とする。
＊本科目は、登録後取り消すことはできない（履修が許可された場合には、それ以降の履修取消は原則として認めない）。
＊履修者が10名に満たない場合は、本科目は開講しない。
