The preamble to the Toshima Ward Ordinance on the Rights of the Child contains the following sentence.
"Dear children
You are the protagonist of your life
You can choose and decide what to do with your life.
If you fail, you can start over
If you have a problem, you can ask for help.
You are not alone.
We, adults, will stand in your shoes and listen to you.
Let's think together so that you can live your life as you are.
You are the only one in the world.
You are important and precious."
In the midst of cases of child abuse, what can the law and we do to realize the above declaration?
In this class, we will learn such things through classroom lectures and role-plays, aiming to develop human resources who can work together for the rights of children.
In the first half of the class, students will learn various laws and profession related to children's rights in a classroom style. There is a possibility of group work, etc.
In the second half of the class, role-plays will be conducted on how to deal with cases of child abuse, etc., assuming that you are an employee of Toshima Ward in charge of child-related work, for example.
*Please note that the dates and times for classes are different from regular classes.
*Please make sure that your absence from class does not conflict with your internship or other commitments (There will be group work and role play, so if you are absent, other members will be inconvenienced).
*There may be situations in which you will have to deal with various types of parents, such as verbally abusive or uncooperative parents, in role-plays, as well as potentially tragic cases. Please take this class with great determination.

豊島区子どもの権利に関する条例の前文には、次のような文章があります。
「子どものみなさん

児童虐待などの事案が存在する中、上記宣言を実現するために、法そして私たちは何ができるでしょうか。
この授業では、そうしたことを座学およびロールプレイなどを通じて学び、子どもの権利のために協働することができる人材の育成を目指します。
