The objective of this course is to master the knowledge and techniques of statistical processing and advanced data processing for reading overall behavioral trends and their causes from survey data in the field of social sciences.
The computer classroom will be used to conduct the class in a practical training format. The classes are composed of the following elements.
(1) Survey data and statistical analysis
This section will explain various methods of statistical analysis, the key points for selecting statistical methods based on the content of the survey data, and the problems which lie in the methods and interpretation of the results
(2) Operating procedure practice
Students will learn how to use SPSS and the essentials of reading and interpreting the results while operating the computer.
(3) Statistical analysis practice
Based on the operating procedure practice, students will analyze survey data and compare against the item content to pick up behavioral trends from the results.

SPSS（IBM社が提供する統計解析ソフトウェア）を利用するにあたり、必要な統計学の知識は授業内で随時取り上げる。
社会科学分野の調査データから全体的な行動傾向やその要因を読み取るための統計処理，発展的な情報処理に関する知識や技術を習得する。
The objective of this course is to master the knowledge and techniques of statistical processing and advanced data processing for reading overall behavioral trends and their causes from survey data in the field of social sciences.
コンピュータ教室を使用し，実習形式で授業を行う。授業は以下の内容で構成される。
(1)調査データと統計分析
様々な統計分析の手法，調査データの内容から統計手法を選択するポイント，手法や結果解釈に存在する問題点等について説明する。
(2)操作方法実習
コンピュータを操作しながらSPSSの利用方法や結果の読み取り・解釈の要点を習得する。
(3)統計解析実習
操作方法実習をふまえ，調査データを分析，項目内容と照らし合わせ結果から行動傾向を読み取る。
The computer classroom will be used to conduct the class in a practical training format. The classes are composed of the following elements.
