This course will give students basic knowledge of legal studies in English and English legal terminology.
This course will provide an opportunity for students who are the beginner of law to get familiar with English legal terminology before the specialized English courses offered by the Faculty of Law. Students will be required to read basic legal materials and discuss their contents in the class. Language in class is Japanese but all materials will be provided in English. See below for a list of materials.
This course is particularly recommended for students who are interested in English language teaching and who are considering transferring to the Global Program.
Note that native English-speaking teacher may be added to the teaching staff during the course period.

法学の基本的な知識を英語で学ぶ
法律学に特有の英語表現・語彙を学ぶ
This course will give students basic knowledge of legal studies in English and English legal terminology.
法学部で展開されている英語による専門科目を受講する前に、法律学の基本的な構造や特有の英語表現を身につけるために、文献を輪読し、合わせて内容について議論をする。授業内使用言語は日本語だが、マテリアルは全て英語になる。取り上げるマテリアルは下記を参照されたい。
特に英語授業に関心がある者、グローバルコースへの転コースを検討している者の受講を推奨する。
