“When I get to university, I want to study what interests me to the best of my ability!” The objective of this seminar is to encourage students who had such aspirations to remember their original intentions, make friends through seminar activities such as a training camp, and lead a fulfilling university life in which they can say they learned a lot.
The seminar aims to have students acquire a perspective to understand and relativize the discourse and current situation surrounding gender and men/women in modern and contemporary Japanese politics based on a political science and historical approach, and to form their own opinions through discussion. Students will also acquire the skills to properly read textbooks and give reports and presentations as well as to plan and conduct interviews and research on their own and engage in discussion.
Due largely to the Matsuura Seminar for this academic year being a short one that will only be held in the spring semester, discussions of how the current situation should be changed will not be included in the seminar’s objective. The objective of the seminar is to first form an understanding of the current state of androcentrism in today’s Japanese politics and Japanese political history, then cultivate a familiarity with how its causes and background are discussed and what limitations those discussions have.
In order to relativize the modern era from a historical and comparative perspective, students will read key textbooks, especially those published in recent years; give reports; and share their problem-awareness and analytical frameworks, after which they will discuss associated merits and demerits. In addition to reading literature, students may need to also listen to feedback from those involved in the field in the form of “field trips” and guest lectures. The seminar will also aim to have students to explore such opportunities while moving forward with discussions.
The main event of the Matsuura Seminar, a training camp, is scheduled to involve visits to prefectures that the seminar has yet to reach. With the cooperation of local government officials where possible, the seminar aims to have students share the kind of experiences that will become an unforgettable memory of their student days while learning about the themes for this semester and the local area. The training camp will be an enjoyable experience as well as an opportunity for students to grow significantly through preparation and management. The process of research, planning, arrangement, coordination, negotiation, discussion, and so forth is assigned as a mission to all participants. Preparation and active participation outside of class schedules is mandatory.
In addition to this, participants are welcome to propose plans and textbooks and actively operate the seminar. After all, the seminar is what you make it.

文献の輪読では、報告者が報告を準備する他、毎回コーディネーターが議論を整理する。報告者は他の文献を参照してテキストを補いつつ、テキストの要旨・論点を整理する。また、報告者とコーディネーターはゼミ当日までにサブゼミを行い、疑問を事前にできるだけ解消すると共に、当日の議論の構成を準備する。それ以外の参加者は、毎回授業日の前々日零時まで（授業は木曜なので、火曜日の終わる夜１２時まで）に該当する論文を読み、コメントをCanvas LMSの掲示板に書き込む。コーディネーターはこれを編集し、当日の議論のために印刷して配布し、当日の議論をコーディネートする。参加者全員は事前にテキストや資料を読み、授業で事前に提出したコメントを踏まえて、コーディネーターの準備した論点について議論を行う。
当日は全員が積極的に議論に参加できるよう、体調を整えて参加すること。
原則として、合宿への参加を必須とする。

参加者は、ゼミ合宿、懇親会などゼミ関係の行事において、未成年飲酒・アルハラ・迷惑行為は絶対に許されないことを銘記すること。授業や行事、論文、メールなどにおけるマナーを、次第に身につけることも必要である。
「大学に入ったら、好きな勉強を、思いっきりしたい！」。こんな志を持っていた学生に、初心を思い出して、合宿なども含むゼミ活動を通じて仲間を作り、「勉強した」と言える充実した大学生活を送ってもらうことが、このゼミの目標である。
このゼミでは、政治学・歴史学のアプローチにより、近現代日本政治におけるジェンダーや男性／女性をめぐる言説や現状を理解し相対化する視座を獲得し、議論を通じて自分なりの意見を形成することを目指す。また、テキストをきちんと読み報告・プレゼンしたり、自ら企画して取材・調査したり、議論したりする技術を習得する。

The seminar aims to have students acquire a perspective to understand and relativize the discourse and current situation surrounding gender and men/women in modern and contemporary Japanese politics based on a political science and historical approach, and to form their own opinions through discussion. Students will also acquire the skills to properly read textbooks and give reports and presentations as well as to plan and conduct interviews and research on their own and engage in discussion.
今年度の松浦ゼミは春学期のみで短いこともあり、現状をどう変えるべきかを議論することは目標としない。現在の日本政治や日本政治史における男性中心主義について、まず現状を理解し、その原因や背景がどのように議論されているのか、それらの議論にはどのような限界があるのか。それらを知ることが目標である。
歴史的・比較的視座から現代を相対化するために、近年刊行されたテキストを中心に重要なテキストを輪読・報告し、問題意識や分析枠組みを共有した上で、メリット・デメリットを議論する。文献を読むだけでなく、「遠足」やゲスト講演といった形で現場の当事者たちの声も聞く必要があるかもしれない。議論を進めながらそうした機会も探りたい。
松浦ゼミのメイン・イベントでもある合宿では、ゼミ未到達の県を訪れる予定である。できればその地の自治体担当者のご協力を得ながら、本学期のテーマとその地に関わる学びをしつつ、学生時代の忘れ得ぬ思い出になるような体験を共有したい。合宿は、楽しいだけではなく、準備と運営とを通じて大きく成長できる機会となる。調査・計画・手配・調整・交渉・討論などのプロセスが参加者全員にミッションとして与えられ、授業時間以外の準備と積極的な参加が義務である。
この他にも、参加者が企画やテキストを提案し、積極的に運営することを歓迎する。ゼミは、君たちが作るものだから。
