The purpuse of this seminar is to develop the students' legal thinking and skills for presentation and discussion through debates on intellectual property law.
This seminar holds debates between the plaintiff (3 persons) and the defendant (3 persons) on the topic of real case law concerning copyright law, for one year. The rest of the students give their judgements with comments.
The debaters have to prepare for the debates, while the judges are expected to be impartial. In the course of this seminar, the students can develop flexible legal thinking and skills for presentation and discussioin.
There is an extension of about 20 minutes each time. It is planned to hold the friendly matches with other universities (e.g. Hokkaido University, Waseda University).

知的財産法をテーマにディベートを行うことにより法的思考力とプレゼンテーション能力を養う。
The purpuse of this seminar is to develop the students' legal thinking and skills for presentation and discussion through debates on intellectual property law.
著作権法に関する現実の事件をテーマとして、原告3人×被告3人のディベートを行います。残りの参加者は全員ジャッジとしてコメント付き判定を下します。こうして１年間同じチームでリーグ戦を行い、優勝チームを決定するというプログラムです。
ディベーターは準備と理論武装が求められ、他のジャッジも公平な判断が求められます。こうしてディベーターは、柔軟な思考力と説得的な論理性を鍛え、あわせてプレゼン技術を磨きます。ジャッジは、主張の正当性を適切に見極める判断力を養います。
毎回20分程度延長あり。他大学（昨年度は早稲田）との親善試合も開催予定。
