In this semnar, students will learn and analyze the Amerian legal system surrounding chidren/youth, in comparison with that of Japan. Students will understand not only the legal systems but also the social background of those systems.
This seminar offers various topics related to the legal issues of children/youth. Students will required to read English materials on the American legal system, and thus, are required have certain level of English reading proficiency. Students will have group discussion in Japanese.
In addition, lecture(s) by guest speaker(s) and watching movie related to the issues in the seminar are planned.

英語の読解能力を要する
本ゼミでは、子供（未成年）に関係する法について、アメリカの法制度を学ぶとともに日本法と比較しながら検討する。法制度の理解にとどまらず、法制度がどのような社会的背景にもとづいているかも理解する。
In this semnar, students will learn and analyze the Amerian legal system surrounding chidren/youth, in comparison with that of Japan. Students will understand not only the legal systems but also the social background of those systems.
春学期及び秋学期を通じて、子供（未成年）をめぐる法的問題について、様々なトピックを取り扱う。
アメリカの法制度については英語による文献（判例・論文等）を講読するため、一定の英語読解能力を要する。議論は主にグループ・ディスカッションで行う（日本語により議論する）。
ゼミで取り扱うテーマに関連するゲスト・スピーカーによる講義や映画の観賞等を数回実施することを予定している。
