Does climate change affect the way of politics? How is it doing so? Will climate change destabilise societies? This seminar will focus on the political science aspects of climate change issues, reading the latest literature on these questions. In particular, students will deepen their perspective on specific issues by studying theoretical debates at the global level as well as cases from the regional level, known as the Global South.
In this seminar, we will read assigned books in rotation and discuss each topic. The presenter will summarise the contents of the texts, and the rest will submit a comment paper in advance. In each session, the class will proceed with a discussion based on the issues raised by the discussants. If necessary, students will be divided into small groups for discussion in the class.

気候変動は政治のあり方に影響を与えるか。それはどのようにしてか。気候変動によって社会は不安定化するのか。本演習は、気候変動問題の政治学的側面に焦点を当て、こうした問いに関する最新の文献を読み解く。とくに、グローバルレベルでの理論的な議論だけでなく、グローバルサウスと呼ばれる地域の事例を学ぶことで、具体的な課題に対する視野を深める。

本演習では、指定された文献を輪読しながら、各テーマについて討論する。報告担当者はテキストの内容報告を行い、それ以外の受講生は事前にコメント・ペーパー（400字程度）を提出する。各回とも、討論者の問題提起をふまえた全体討論を行う形で授業を進めて行く。 必要に応じて、小グループに分かれて討論することもある。
In this seminar, we will read assigned books in rotation and discuss each topic. The presenter will summarise the contents of the texts, and the rest will submit a comment paper in advance.
