Students will read case studies and theoretical research related to European politics, gain an understanding of the latest political science, international relations, and social issues, and acquire skills in group research, academic presentations, and debates.
What challenges does contemporary European politics face, such as European integration and nationalism, migration, social inequality, international relations, and environmental issues? To understand and address these challenges, students will study textbooks on various topics and conduct independent research. The main theme for 2026 will focus on the changing politics and nationalism in European countries. Each course will primarily consist of reading recent publications, research papers, group and individual presentations, and whole-class discussions. We also aim to foster open dialogue through guest speakers and joint seminars.

ヨーロッパ政治に関連する事例・理論研究を共に読み，最新の政治学，国際関係，社会問題を理解する。さらにグループ・リサーチとアカデミックなプレゼンテーション，討論のスキルを獲得する。

ＥＵ統合とナショナリズム，移民問題，社会の格差，国際関係，環境問題など，現代のヨーロッパ政治はどのような課題に直面しているのか。それを日本の学生として理解し参考にできるように，様々なテーマのテキストの講読と自主的リサーチを行う。2026年度の重点トピックは，「ヨーロッパ各国の政治とナショナリズムの変容」である。各回の進め方としては，最新の文献の講読，グループおよび個人によるリサーチと発表，全員による討論が主となる。あわせてゲストスピーカー，合同ゼミなどを通し，広い対話の機会をつくりたい。
