(2) To improve academic skills by cultivating research, note-taking, and presentation skills through collaboration with fellow students
(3) To improve English language skills
Languages:
The course will be conducted bilingually in Japanese and simple English. While you are encouraged to take notes and give presentations in English, you are free to use Japanese as needed. During pair work sessions, bilingual communication is expected, whereas group discussions will be conducted in Japanese. Regardless of you level of English proficiency, you are welcome to join us.
Active learning:
This course places a strong emphasis on student autonomy. Lectures from the instructor will be rare, as the focus is on your explaining what you have learned about your research topics. Each class will involve working independently, in pairs, and in groups.
In-class tasks and assignments:
Various student-centered tasks will be assigned, including research note-taking, mind mapping, and mini-presentations.
Research Materials:
The instructor will provide an online list of research resources. Alternatively, students may search for research materials on their own.
Languages:

使用言語
日本語および「簡単な」英語の二言語を使用します。ノート作成やプレゼンテーションは英語で行うことが望ましいですが、必要に応じ日本語を使ってもかまいません。ペアワークは主に英語、グループディスカッションは日本語で行います。語学に自信がない学生も歓迎しますので、安心して参加してください。
アクティブラーニング
このコースでは、学生自身の自律的な学びを支援する、いわゆるアクティブラーニング方式を採用します。講師はほとんど講義を行わず、学生自身が各自の集めた情報についてお互いに説明しあいます。授業中は、（1）個人ワーク、（2）ペアワーク、（3）グループワークが課されます。
授業中に行う課題と作業
マインドマップやリサーチノートの作成、ミニプレゼンテーションなど。いずれにおいても学生が主体となって作業します。
リサーチ資料
講師が授業中に、またはオンライン上で参考資料を提示します。あるいは、学生が自分自身で資料を用意することも可能です。
