【Course Objectives】

This seminar is designed to give students an understanding of how LGBTQ rights are deemed by society, courts, and academia in Japan.

【Course Contents】

This seminar will cover, but not limited to, the area of Same-Sex Marriage, gender/sex change, and the use of public washrooms by transgender people in Japan with a reference to the North American situation.
