Using comparative research methods (law and politics), we will examine the different forms of government structures in Western countries.
That makes us understand the 1947 Constitution of Japan more deeply.
We will understand the historical change and geographical diffusion of G7 countries' polities in a time span of four centuries.
In the first half of the seminar, we will see the problems from historical and geographical perspectives based on some academic papers.
The second half of the seminar will cover conventional Comparative Constitutional Law, especially polity theory.
Students will focus on legislative and executive branches of the following countries (U.K., U.S.A., and France).
This seminar also prioritizes accurate acquisition of basic knowledge of Constitutional Law (2).

比較研究（法学，政治学）の手法を用いて，主要先進諸国の統治機構の特徴について学びます。
それによって，日本国憲法そのものの理解を深めることを目指します。
Using comparative research methods (law and politics), we will examine the different forms of government structures in Western countries.
That makes us understand the 1947 Constitution of Japan more deeply.
近現代（modern age）という長期の時間軸の中で，主要先進諸国の統治機構の変化を理解します。
そのために，歴史学と地理学（地政学）の成果も活用します。
前半は，歴史学と地理学（地政学）の分野が対象です。専門論文等の内容を理解する作業が中心となります。
後半は，比較憲法学の分野が対象です。各国の統治機構について調査し，考察を加えます。
今年度は、英国，米国，フランスを調査対象国とする予定です。
なお，本演習では，特に立法権と行政権について扱います。
また，日本国憲法の基礎知識（憲法（2）の範囲）についても段階的に確認していきます。
