In this seminar, we will consider Chinese politics through the key figure of Xi Jinping.. The seminar welcomes international students, encouraging participants with diverse backgrounds to deepen their understanding of the regions they live in through literature study and discussions. Additionally, through group work, participants will aim to enhance their skills in literature research and presentations.
Since being elected General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party in 2012, Xi Jinping has increasingly strengthened his importance in Chinese politics by centralizing power. Even issues such as economic development, which should primarily be handled by the State Council, have come under the growing direction of the Party Central Committee. Against this backdrop, observing Chinese politics requires examining the growth, ideology, style, and vision of this key figure. In this exercise, we will deepen our understanding of Chinese politics through literature study and group work.
Please note that the number of literature reports and the number of presenters each time will be determined by the number of participants and their interests, so please consider the class plan as a guide.Chinese may also be used when explaining Chinese materials, news, and background information.

この演習では習近平というキーパーソンから中国政治を考える。本演習は留学生の受講を歓迎しており、異なるバックグラウンドを持つ履修者同士が文献学習やディスカッションを通じて、自分たちの住む地域についての理解を深めていく。また、グループワークを通じて文献調査やプレゼンテーションのスキルを磨くことも目指す。
In this seminar, we will consider Chinese politics through the key figure of Xi Jinping.. 2012年に中国共産党の総書記に選出されて以来、習近平は権力を集中させることで、中国政治における重要性を強めてきた。本来は国務院が主に担当するべき経済発展の問題さえも、党中央の指導をますます受けるようになっている。このような背景の中で、中国政治を観察するには、このキーパーソンの成長、思想、スタイル、そしてビジョンを観察することが欠かせない。この演習では、文献学習やグループワークを通じて、中国政治に対する理解を深める。
なお、履修者の人数や関心によって文献報告の回数、毎回の報告者の数を決めるので、授業計画はその目安と考えてください。中国の資料・ニュース・背景事情を説明する時には中国語を使う場合がある。
