The objectives of this course are to (1) acquire fundamental knowledge about finance which forms the foundation of the economy while learning about the deep connections between law, finance, and the economy (business) and (2) to learn to think for yourself through preparation for class, group discussion and whole class discussion.
This seminar will cover the fundamental aspects of topics selected from the fields of law, finance, and the economy with supplemental explanations provided as needed while engaging in discussions about case studies and created examples in a workshop format.
As a general rule, the classes will be carried out this way: (1) each student does a "homework" and prepares for the class, (2) students discuss about the homework in small groups, and (3) the entire class discuss about the conclusions of the groups.
Students are expected to attend every class, and actively participate in the discussions. The class may continue beyond the normal hours.
The the class schedule includes workshops with guest speakers having various backgrounds. In addition, social gatherings with guest speakers and the seminar alumni and alumnae, and other extracurricular activities will be planned.

毎回、前もってゼミ生全員に事前課題を出し、それを踏まえて授業を行います。
事前課題を出す趣旨は、正解を見つけることを求めているのではなく、授業のテーマについて何がわかって何がわからないのかを自分なりに認識しておいてほしいというものです。しっかりと調べて、自分なりの意見や疑問をまとめるようにしてください。
事前課題は、授業でのディスカッションを活発化し、また授業の内容をしっかりと理解するための準備作業です。事前課題への取り組みが不十分である場合は、履修の継続を認めません。
やむを得ない事情で授業に参加できない場合は、事前課題を検討した結果を授業前日までに（急病などの場合は事後速やかに）提出してください。
事前課題の提出がない授業不参加が3回を越えると、履修の継続は認めません。

・授業への自発的な参加姿勢（ディスカッションが苦手でも「できるようになりたい」という強い気持ちがあれば十分です）
・ゲストスピーカーやOBOGとの懇親会などの課外活動を積極的に楽しむ姿勢（「授業に出席しているだけ」ではこの演習を履修する意味がありません）
授業不参加の理由にかかわらず、実際に授業に出席した回数が全授業回数の2/3以上となることを履修の条件とします。
（１）経済の基盤である金融についての基本的な知識とともに、法、金融及び経済（ビジネス）との深いつながりを学ぶこと、および（２）授業の準備、グループ毎のディスカッション及び全体でのディスカッションを通じ”自分の頭で考える”力を養うことを目標とします。

法、金融、経済の分野から選んだテーマについて、基礎的な部分の説明を適宜補いながら、実例や設例についてでディスカッションを行います。
授業は、(1) 事前課題について各自で検討する、(2) 少人数のグループで(1)の検討結果を踏まえて議論しグループ毎の意見を発表する、(3) グループの意見について全体で議論する、という形で進めます。
授業への毎回出席が必須です。また、ディスカッションへの積極的な参加を求めます。授業の進行状態によっては、時間を超過することもあります。
また、様々なバックグランドを持つゲストスピーカーを迎えてのワークショップのほか、ゲストスピーカーとの懇親会やOBOGとの交流会などの課外活動も行う予定です。
