The goal of this course is to develop multifaceted perspectives on Japanese criminal justice by viewing and discussing various audiovisual works related to the law of criminal procedure.
Throughout the semester, we will watch a diverse selection of films and media reports about criminal procedure, ranging from instructional materials to documentaries to nonfiction works. After viewing each piece, we will have an open discussion about its content and implications. Due to time constraints, it may be necessary to spread the viewing of some works across two class sessions or fast-forward through parts of them.
Students are required to write and submit analytical reports on at least two of the works viewed, examining them through the lens of the law of criminal procedure and evidence. These reports, together with participation in class discussions, will form the basis for evaluating student performance and determining final grades.

「刑事訴訟法」に関連する様々な映像作品の鑑賞とフリーディスカッションを通じて，刑事司法を見る多角的な視点を養うことが本科目の目的である。
The goal of this course is to develop multifaceted perspectives on Japanese criminal justice by viewing and discussing various audiovisual works related to the law of criminal procedure.
「刑事訴訟法」に関連する様々な映像作品を鑑賞し，鑑賞後にその内容についてフリーディスカッションを行う。鑑賞する映像作品は，教材・啓発作品のほか，ドキュメンタリー，ノンフィクション映画を含めて幅広く選定したい。上映時間の都合上，1件の作品の鑑賞が2週にわたったり，途中早送りをしたりすることがあり得る。
履修者には，鑑賞した作品のうち最低2件について，刑事訴訟法学の観点から分析検討したレポートを作成し提出することを義務付け，成績評価の対象とする。

本科目の目的・内容に照らし，過年度に「刑事訴訟法」履修済み（単位取得済み）であること，または，今年度本科目と並行して「刑事訴訟法」を履修中であることを要する。
＜単位認定要件＞
次の事由が通算で3回に達した場合は，その時点で単位不認定とし，履修の継続を許さない。
（1）無断のまたは正当な理由のない欠席
（2）無断のまたは正当な理由のない30分以上の遅刻
（3）無断のまたは正当な理由のない明らかな予習不足
授業前日午後5時までに連絡のない場合を「無断」とする。ただし，その後に生じた合理的に予期し得ない事態に起因する場合（例＝授業当日朝に風邪様症状を発症し発熱したとき，公共交通機関で大学に向かう途中に豪雨による運転見合わせに遭遇したとき等）は，当該事態が生じた後，可能な限度で速やかに連絡すれば「無断」とはしない。なお，「正当な理由」に当たるか否かは大学の規則・規程および社会通念に照らして判断するが，就職活動，部活動・サークル活動，アルバイトが「正当な理由」に当たるとされることはない。
＜選考方法＞
採用人数：15名程度
配当年次：3・4年次 ※過年度に「刑事訴訟法」履修済み（単位取得済み）であること，または，今年度本科目と並行して「刑事訴訟法」を履修中であること。
選考方法：レポート
①題目：刑事訴訟法履修済みの場合は，刑事訴訟法に興味を持った理由（具体的なトピックや論点，判例など）を述べた上で，それと関連づけつつ，本演習参加を志望する理由を，できるだけ具体的に述べること。
「刑事訴訟法」を本科目と並行して履修する場合には，これまでの法学部での学習経験を踏まえつつ，数ある科目群の中からなぜ「刑事訴訟法」を学びたいと思ったのか，また，なぜ講義科目に加えて本科目を履修したいのかについて，できるだけ具体的に述べること。
②字数：1000字以上（上限なし）
