The objective of the course is to introduce the participants to the major legal traditions of the world.
The course will present the major legal traditions of the world in historical and comparative perspective.

| Lessons require active participation by the students. Short in-class tests will be held at regular intervals. Participants might be required to give individual or group presentations on selected topics. |
Participants will be required to read regularly the assigned materials in English in preparation for the lessons.
Participants might have to prepare a final individual or group presentation.

Basic knowledge of European history and society since the Middle Ages.
A suitable English language proficiency level is a minimum of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

The use of laptops, tablets, phones and any other electronic device during the lesson, unless explicitly allowed on a case-by-case basis, is strictly prohibited.
