・To understand and be able to explain the diversity of societies and cultures in the African region from an anthropological perspective.
・To develop a perspective that relativises self-culture's common sense and re-examines it, and to be able to explain those perspectives.
・To develop an interest in other cultures and be able to understand and think about them from multiple perspectives.
This course explores the diverse forms of human society from an anthropological perspective, using the societies and cultures of the African region as its subject matter. Through each session's theme, students will gain an understanding of the lives of African peoples, relativise the common sense of their own culture, and cultivate the ability to consider diverse societal forms from a global perspective. Furthermore, through learning using specific case studies and visual materials, students will heighten their interest in other cultures and develop the ability to understand and explain them from multiple angles.

本講義では、アフリカ地域の社会と文化を題材に、人間社会の多様なあり方を人類学的な視点から学ぶ。毎回のテーマを通じて、アフリカの人びとの営みを理解するとともに、自文化の常識を相対化し、グローバルな視野から多様な社会のあり方を考える力を養う。また、具体的な事例や映像資料を用いた学習を通じて異文化への関心を高め、異文化を多角的に理解し説明できる能力を培う。
