Phenomenology in practice is a study of actual episodes and narratives collected through fieldwork and interviews, based on the findings of phenomenology, a type of philosophy.
In this class, the lecturer will introduce various episodes concerning people living in contemporary society (child abuse, developmental disabilities, children and carers living in children's homes, atomic bomb survivors, etc.) and discuss clinical phenomenological considerations with you. Many of these will be related to 'living difficulties'.
This class will require group work (depending on the number of students enrolled) and the submission of a reaction paper after each class. The reason for this is that, as stated in the objective (4) of the class, the lecturer wants each and every one of you to think, question and express yourself with a sense of ownership of the issues involved, rather than simply listening to the class.

フィールドワークやインタビューによって収集してきた実際のエピソードや語りについて、哲学の一種である現象学の知見に基づき考察するのが臨床現象学です。
本授業では、現代社会を生きる人間をめぐるさまざまなエピソード（児童虐待、発達障害、児童養護施設で暮らす子どもとケアワーカー、原爆の被爆者など）を紹介し、臨床現象学的な考察についてみなさんにお話をします。その多くは「生きづらさ」に関連するものになります。
本授業では、グループワーク（履修人数によります）や、毎授業後のリアクションペーパーの提出を課します。授業の目標④にあるように、単に授業を聴講するだけでなく、みなさん一人ひとりに当事者意識をもって考え、疑問を持ち、表現してほしいからです。
