To enhance the ability to interpret regions from multiple perspectives, students will learn fundamental knowledge about regions and research methods in area studies.
Using case studies of regional tourism development, the instructor explains fundamental approaches to area studies, including theme setting and research methods. Following an explanation of regional concepts, the instructor discusses the regional characteristics of tourism in Europe and Japan, drawing on specific regional case studies.

地域を多角的な視点から読み解く能力を向上させるために、地域に関する基本的な知識と地域研究に関する研究方法を学ぶ。
To enhance the ability to interpret regions from multiple perspectives, students will learn fundamental knowledge about regions and research methods in area studies.
ツーリズムに関する地域的展開の事例を用いて、地域研究のための基礎的なアプローチの仕方、テーマ設定、データの解釈方法などを説明する。地域の考え方に関する解説の後に、ヨーロッパと日本のツーリズムに関する地域的特徴を具体的な地域事例を踏まえつつ解説する。
