This course aims to deepen understanding over updated socio-cultural situation of Asian countries and areas, from standpoint of understanding migrant's home countries.
Overall, participants are expected to acquire analytical frameworks for further analyses over diversity of migrant populations in Japan.
This course share updated situation and argue about socio-cultural dynamics of Korea, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Nepal, Myanmar, India, Thailand, Philippines, Sri Lanka -- the countries which are major sending countries of migrants in Japan (limitted to Asian countries)

多彩な学び科目
本講義では日本が急速に受入人口とその多様性を増しつつある移民について、彼らの出身国の文脈から理解を深めることを目的とする。これを通じて、日本という国の中で拡大しつつある「多様性」について議論する際の基本的な視座を複眼的に獲得することを上位目標とする。
This course aims to deepen understanding over updated socio-cultural situation of Asian countries and areas, from standpoint of understanding migrant's home countries.

本講義では、2024年度12月時点における中長期在留者数のアジアの出身国上位10か国（韓国、中国、ベトナム、インドネシア、ネパール、ミャンマー、インド、タイ、フィリピン、スリランカ）を中心に、彼らの出身国・地域の社会と文化について、宗教、カースト、エスニシティ、階級階層、産業や歴史など多角的な視座からの理解を促進する。
