We will examine the unique culture of the German-speaking world from the multiple perspectives, especially (fine) arts.
Germany, located in the center of Europe, has gone through a long history and various historical events before becoming its present form as the leading country in the European economy. On the other hand, Austria and Prague, which were the proud centers of the Hapsburg Empire, have also formed their own cultures. The course will examine the culture and history of German-speaking countries, each with a different face, from the (fine) arts.

ドイツ語圏芸術家の美術作品を糸口に、文化と歴史への理解を深める
We will examine the unique culture of the German-speaking world from the multiple perspectives, especially (fine) arts.
ヨーロッパの中心に位置し、ヨーロッパ経済をリードする国・ドイツが現在の形になるまでには、長い時代と様々な歴史的事件を経てきました。ハプスブルク帝国の中心として栄華を誇ったオーストリアやプラハも、現在まで独自の文化を形成しています。講義では、それぞれに異なる表情を持つドイツ語圏の国々の文化を、主に絵画作品を中心に同時代の文学等の芸術作品も手掛かりに様々な観点から検証していきます。
