The purpose of this class is to explore the theme of laughter and emotion and how these human emotions have been culturally and historically constructed, and to discuss them with specific case studies. The discussion in this class will be guided by the literature and visual materials on laughter and emotion, especially in cultural anthropology and folklore.
In the first half of this class, the student in charge will prepare and present a resume in response to a designated text, followed by a discussion among all students. In the second half of the class, students will individually or in groups present their research on a specific topic related to laughter and emotion.

本授業の目的は、笑いと感情をテーマとし、これらの人間の情動がどのように文化的・歴史的に構築されてきたのかを探求し、具体的な事例とともに議論することである。本授業では、特に文化人類学やフォークロアにおける笑いや感情に関する文献と映像資料を手掛かりとしながら議論を進める。

本授業の前半では、指定のテキストに対して担当者の学生がレジュメを作成・発表し、その後全員で議論を行う。後半では、個人またはグループで笑いや感情と関わる特定のテーマのもとに研究発表を行う。
