In this class, we will study modern Japanese history, especially the socio-economic history of postwar Japan, with the goal of learning how the characteristics of postwar Japanese society have been formed and how this relates to current ideas about mutual recognition among people.
The class will be conducted by reading one textbook. The student in charge will give a presentation on the textbook, which will be discussed by all participants. The teacher will explain important points and keywords as necessary to deepen students' understanding of the textbook and subject matter.The class will judge progress with an emphasis on students' degree of understanding and interests.

多彩な学び
本授業では、日本現代史、特に戦後日本社会経済史を通して、戦後日本社会の特徴がどのように形成されてきたのか、そしてそのことは現在の人びと同士の相互承認に関する考え方にどのように関連しているのかという点について学びます。
In this class, we will study modern Japanese history, especially the socio-economic history of postwar Japan, with the goal of learning how the characteristics of postwar Japanese society have been formed and how this relates to current ideas about mutual recognition among people.
授業はテキストを講読する形で進めます。担当者の学生がテキストに関する発表を行い、それに関して参加者全員で議論します。参加者の理解が深められるように、教員が必要に応じて重要な論点やキーワードを解説します。学生の理解度や興味関心を重視して進度を決定します。
