We will take up the ethical issues raised about "life,"grasp the actual situation, and study "human dignity."
We will take up some of the ethical issues about "life" that we face today and inquire into "human dignity" as we deepen our examination. Specifically, we plan to create several groups according to the participants' interests, give research presentations and talks under each theme, and then deepen the whole discussion. Themes may include "forced infertility surgery," "eugenics policy," "surrogate birth," "prenatal diagnosis," "genetic manipulation," "brain death," and "organ transplantation," etc.

「いのち」をめぐって提起されている倫理的問題をとりあげ，その実状を把握するとともに、「人間の尊厳」を考究する。
We will take up the ethical issues raised about "life,"grasp the actual situation, and study "human dignity."
今日わたしたちが直面している「いのち」をめぐる倫理的諸問題の中からいくつかをとりあげ、検討を加えながら「人間の尊厳」を尋ねる。具体的には、参加者の関心に応じていくつかのグループをつくり、それぞれのテーマのもとに研究発表と発題を行って、その後に全体で討議を重ねる予定。テーマとしては、「強制不妊手術」・「優生政策」・「代理出産」・「出生前診断」・「遺伝子操作」・「脳死」・「臓器移植」等が考えられる。
