Notes

【Course Objectives】

Students will be able to: Listen to lectures and discuss gender issues in a multicultural context.
Read and think critically about authentic texts related to gender issues.
Write short essays and reaction papers about class topics.
Conduct a mini-lesson/ interactive prestation on a topic related to class content.

【Course Contents】

This course focuses on gender from a multicultural perspective, and explores gender's intersection with other identities such as race, social class, and sexual orientation. Topics include but are not limited to the following: How is the concept of gender different in different cultures? How does gender affect a person's daily life and basic human rights?
