This course covers contemporary social and cultural issues in Germany and Europe, addressing the challenges of a globalized and multicultural society. The aim is to enhance students' understanding of the role of intercultural communication in society.
Using short videos from Deutsche Welle, relevant issues related to interculturalism and multicultural society are discussed. The video material is analyzed in detail to introduce students to the key terms related to the topics and the logic of argumentation. In the middle and at the end of the semester, students give presentations on one of the topics discussed in class.

ドイツ語技能検定試験2級、ヨーロッパ言語共通参照枠（CEFR）が定めるB1/B2レベルのドイツ語能力を有していることを前提に授業を実施する。
授業は、参加者の積極的な参加、議論を中心に行います。映像資料を使用します。
提出物などのフィードバックは適宜、授業内で全体と、必要に応じて各自に向けて行います。
「授業計画」の内容や進度は履修状況や、参加者の希望などにより変更する可能性もあります。
履修を考えている、あるいはこの授業に興味のある方は、必ず初回の授業に出席してください。

In diesem Kurs werden aktuelle gesellschaftliche und kulturelle Themen in Deutschland und Europa behandelt. Dabei werden Probleme der globalisierten und multikulturellen Gesellschaft aufgegriffen. Ziel ist die Vertiefung des Verständnisses für die Rolle der interkulturellen Kommunikation in der Gesellschaft.

Auf der Grundlage von kurzen Videos der „Deutschen Welle“ werden relevante Themen im Zusammenhang mit der Interkulturalität und der multikulturellen Gesellschaft diskutiert. Um sich die wichtigsten Begriffe zu den Themen und die Argumentationslogik anzueignen, wird das Videomaterial im Detail besprochen. In der Mitte und am Ende des Semesters halten die KursteilnehmerInnen Referate zu einem der im Unterricht behandelten Themen.
