1) Be able to analyse and examine phenomena from a cultural relativism perspective using the theories and concepts of intercultural communication studies.
2) Using the theories and concepts from intercultural communication studies, one can effectively design and implement one's own communication.
Students will deepen their understandings of verbal and non-verbal interactions between/among people in different relationships and cultural backgrounds, using concepts, models, and theories of intercultural communication, so that they will be able to critically examine commonly observed communication practices and social issues. Through in-class activities, including group communication, we will deepen our understanding of intercultural communication.

多彩な学び科目
1) 異文化コミュニケーション学の理論・概念を用いて、文化相対的な視点から身近な諸現象を分析・考察できる。
2）異文化コミュニケーション学の理論・概念を用いて、効果的に自分のコミュニケーションを設計・実践できる。

異文化コミュニケーション学における概念、モデル、理論を用いて、異なる関係性や文化的背景にある人々の相互行為を言語・非言語の視点から分析的に読み解くことで、日常的に見られるコミュニケーション行為や社会問題について批判的に考察していきます。グループでのコミュニケーションも交えながら、具体的な活動を通じて異文化コミュニケーションへの理解を深めていきます。
