In this course, students will be able to:
1) understand the issues around them from the perspective of cultural anthropology.
2) relativize "Japan" through an understanding of Southeast Asia.
In this class, students will learn about the concepts and theories of cultural anthropology through case studies of the Southeast Asian region through text readings and discussions. Students can also learn about the Southeast Asian region through the perspective of cultural anthropology. Students will be divided into about three to five groups to exchange opinions on their answers and develop their understanding of the topics.

この授業の到達目標は、次のとおりである。
1）文化人類学の視点から身の回りの事柄を捉えられるようになること。
2）東南アジアへの理解をとおして、「日本」を相対化できること。
In this course, students will be able to:
1) understand the issues around them from the perspective of cultural anthropology.
2) relativize "Japan" through an understanding of Southeast Asia.
この授業では、テキストの購読とディスカッションをもとに東南アジア地域を事例に文化人類学の考え方と理論を学ぶ。あるいは、文化人類学の視点をとおして東南アジア地域について学ぶこともできる。この授業は反転授業の形式をとり、受講者は各章末の課題に事前回答し授業に臨む。受講者数にもよるが、3〜5グループ程度に分かれて回答について意見交換をおこない対象への理解を深める。
In this class, students will learn about the concepts and theories of cultural anthropology through case studies of the Southeast Asian region through text readings and discussions. Students can also learn about the Southeast Asian region through the perspective of cultural anthropology. Students will be divided into about three to five groups to exchange opinions on their answers and develop their understanding of the topics.
